Maya City NADA EXCEED is a housing complex for phase II after the Maya City NADA FRONT (MCF) which was constructed at almost the same time. It is next to MCF on the side of the station and faces a junction of three roads, acting as the west gate to the development. This project is also the point that connects to the A to D developments on the north side planned in the future. Using the grid façade design composed of the white frame, which is the design vocabulary of MCF, a variety of finer and variable elements were created through use of geometric patterns and dot patterns made by raster tiles within the white frame on the elevations. The grid design of the building façade will connect the future development to the MCF which it faces, and hints at a future design trend. The design takes advantage of the fact that the entrance connects directly to the national main road via a bridge by imaging as if a shaft of light hits the house hidden amongst the clouds. The interior design in the common area joins the different character of each space to the lobby; the front room and the lounge are connected using traditional Japanese methods of creating depth and sequence. The lobby has a special wall design where limestones vary in depth, and together with the ceiling which has lights of various geometric patterns that are set at varying heights creating an interesting arrangement of light and shade.
